**I'm putting this in the GPS/AP+ thread because it addresses how to get these panels working with FSW** Well, the long anticipated DTG FSW is out. First impressions are good, the aircraft are beautiful, and the flight model is well improved. Scenery is improved as well, but frame rate in full screen leaves something to be desired Weather effects are great. The downside, NO FSUIPC SUPPORT.FSW uses SimConnect to interface. So even the Saitek Switch/Radio panels don't currently (this is early access release) work out of the box. Enter, SPAD.NextNow, I haven't had a ton of time to test it out, but SPAD.Next seems to be a good substitute for FSUIPC and LINDA. (Still have to find out if I can assign shift functions to the rotary encoders, but at least I am able to assign them a function.) It is something like $25 USD, but seems to solve the problem a lack of FSUIPC poses. I'm still on the free trial, so I will update with any new info I find out.

Oh one thng I thought was cool was they integrated options for multi monitor cockpits. Just something to look into I suppose. Also they added "On Release" functionality in the controls settings. (Good for toggle switches)

(Good for toggle switches) I tried multi-monitor and it just seems to stretch the view like when you use Surround. (Perhaps it will do something different if I disable Surround.) As for 'On Release', FSX has that already. It's a shame X-Plane doesn't With SPAD.neXt you can do a SHIFT function by choosing 'change data value' as the action, then specify a local variable as the data value - e.g. 'ROTARY_SHIFT_ACTIVE'. You can check and manipulate this from your rotary functions to do conditional actions. You will also need to change the shift button (centre push) to be of type 'simple button' so you can see the 'on release' event.

So it sounds like you already knew about SPAD.next, I don't know why I would think anything less haha. So in your opinion would you say it's possibly to get the same functionality that LINDA gives us o FSX?

So in your opinion would you say it's possibly to get the same functionality that LINDA gives us o FSX? My experience is limited but at the moment I think the answer is NO, basically because it doesn't appear to have the same Lua scripting abilities. It has much more flexible button programming, including user-defined local variables (as in the example above) but my feeling is that this will come up against limits for anything more complex. If you read Pete Dowson's rationale for adding Lua scripting to FSUIPC (in one of the FSUIPC documents) it will sound familiar. he recognised he had pushed button programming as far as it could realistically go, so the next step was scripting. I think that's where SPAD.neXt is now, although you can program the complex button stuff from the user interface, which you can't do in FSUIPC. BTW, I'm only using SPAD.neXt in X-Plane so far.
