So I am about to play with networking a second PC into sim to handle somethings like displaying my instrument panel. I have a spare laptop that should be good enough to handle that. As it is right now I am running two scenery screens and a third 19" monitor where I undock and drag the instrument view to with the monitor sitting on top of my yoke. It works pretty well, but the FPS is absolute garbage. So I can't do it this way anymore. So far the best bet I have to make this happen is utilizing FSUIPC and WideFS. Anyone have any pro tips regarding this process? Also, If I have it networked, is there a way to get USB inputs on computer 2 to be read by the sim on computer one? Will FSUIPC handle that for me? I have no experience trying to network. Any help or advice would be great!

The way I understand it, WideFS will let you process your USB inputs on the networked PC and pass them to FSX transparently. However, it'won't allow you to run undocked panels for instruments or anything else on a networked PC. To do what you want you need some other application that can run 2D panels constructed independently of FSX. There are several (many?) such applications. Air Manager and Panel Builder will do it and will also let you create and edit your own panels. There are other solutions such as Project Magenta, the Peix GA panel and also stuff that runs on iPad or Android, such as RemoteFlight Cockpit.
