Just watched your latest video. It's a shame about the Iris Yoke. Thanks for your input concerning your (bad) experience with the company so far.
Thanks for the info and workarounds for the GPS... very clever! Too bad FSUIPC's mouse-macro thing won't work with add-ons.
I notice most in the sim community uses Sky Vector. I've always preferred VFR Maps, seems to load faster for me, but may be more limited.
When my sim was part of a desk, I had to latch my office chair to the desk with some shoe strings from the arm rests using some small "S" hooks I had on hand. I pretended it was seat belts!
Hmmm... seems I pretend at times with FSX... is that normal? Maybe I shouldn't admit that! Ha,ha. Expect that to be edited out! Thanks for leaving that in place.

The GPS thing is the biggest pain in the a***. It still isn't quite right - for a reason I don't understand doesn't work until you have right-clicked once on the click spot manually. I presume this is something like making the 2D panel the active window or something, but I'm not sure. Once you've clicked in it everything seems to work okay. It's also a complete pain that they only supplied a toggle for ON/OFF - why would they do that?! I tried emailing them for a solution to the click spot problem but no reply. And no, I couldn't get mouse macros to work Good tip about the hooks! I may build some retaining frame to lay on the floor, which I did do once. Or I could have a fixed seat, although in either case my present sim location would make this a bit inconvenient. Maybe it's time to move stuff around, which is always good for a laugh! I just tried the VFR maps. Do you have to go through the rigmarole I did to download them or is there an online way to do it. That's what I liek about SkyVector, you just type in an airport name and you're there. Assuming 'there' is in the USA, of course. You sort of get 'there' for other countries but there isn't much except topography.

Still a great option to have.
Hmmm, I wouldn't have posted a link to VFR Maps if I had to do anything close to what you've described. Strange. I'll recheck my link. I don't download anything... just use their site... like Sky Vector. Works in IE (private) and with internet cache cleared as well. I wonder what I'm missing....
