My first two panels, using Mark's fabrication methods. Actually my 2nd & 3rd panels. No. one was a "test unit". As simple as it may sound, using a pin to punch out the holes in the card stock was very helpful and easier than using an Xacto knife. Thanks for pointing the way Mark. Taking photos of the panels was a bear, due to the mirror finish of the polycarb sheets. As you know. R/Len

Wow, they look good. I am wondering how you have done the LEDs for the gear indicators, which I'd like to have on my A/P panel. And I like the mag switches - take note, Saitek

The LEDs are RGB in which I will use the red and green for gear in transit and gear down respectively. I will be using Arduino Mega boards and have yet to decide whether I will be using Link2FS, Mobiflight or Air Manager to interface with FSUIPC5 and P3Dv4.3. I have some homework to do in that regard.
Regarding Air Manager, Mark do you know if it supports the use of two touch screen monitors? I have yet to obtain a second PC and the extra two monitors. I know you have one touch screen and one regular monitor. Also, how much horsepower would you recommend for that second PC? I plan to run 23 or 24" monitors, depending on what is now available for a reasonable price.
In looking at recent blogs I am beginning to think I should have modeled the Barron B58, instead of going generic. The folks over at SimMax.it seem to have some nice offerings. R/Len

R/Len I am pretty confident AM will handle multiple touchscreens, but better to check in the SimInnovations forum just in case. It certainly understands multiple screens (I use two) and sine the touch part is managed by Windows I wouldn't have expected it was a problem. The PC doesn't have to be very high-spec. My AM PC is a Q8200 on an OEM motherboard. I have a very low spec graphics card in it too. I looked at that SimMax.it site and those panels look cool. The Baron is a good choice although better if you are using X-Plane, as there is a decent Baron model (Carenado + REP). There is a payware SimInnovations panel but it's for the default Barons only, which means it won't even work with the Carenado. There are also enough free instruments you can use though, and you can tweak them to do what you want.

Thanks for the info Mark. Are you planning on getting a second touch screen monitor, or is one sufficient for your needs? R/Len

Thanks for the info Mark. Are you planning on getting a second touch screen monitor, or is one sufficient for your needs? R/Len At the moment I have no plans for a second screen, although I only have it as an experiment really as I have all my hardware controls. If I wanted the full AM Twin Otter panels I would need another screen.
