Hello to everyone
I recently moved, and completely dismantled my flight sim, which included Saitek's yoke, throttle quadrant x2, Cessna trim wheel, rudder pedals, radio panel, switch panel and autopilot. I made my own custom quadrant levers: throttle, prop mixture and fuel mixture.
For the display I use three 22" Acer monitors and a Triplehead-2-Go video splitter.
I built a custom console for the three Saitek panels, and a cabinet that the yoke sits on. For the pilot seat I bought a minivan rear seat from an auto wrecker. Looks and feels almost like the real thing.
In our new home my wife has given me permission to use a small windowless bedroom as a flight sim room (man-cave!)
I plan to build a new-and-improved cockpit, modeled more after something along the lines of a dc-3.
In the works is a custom built yoke, projector, a screen to display gauges and flaps lever. Still in the planning stage at this point, and hope to begin building in the spring.
Cheers, and happy simming!
Raphael

Hey Raphael, good news on the new project. It would be nice to see some pix of your old one if you had them, even a sorry pile of used aircraft parts in the corner I do like the idea of a proper enclosed cockpit with real seats, that would be a step closer. I've also been checking out cockpitbuilders.com and saw this video, which is a (*GASP*) Boeing 737. Normally airliners leave me cold but this is a damned nice looking cockpit in the making and not a video screen in sight!

Hi Mark, I will post some pics as soon as I set up my home computer again. Thanks for the link. I often drool over other people's projects. One in particular on Youtube is Norwegian737project. He created step by step videos of his sim. Me, I prefer the classic and prop planes as well.
